Join WSP's rock mechanics, engineering, and mine stability team and contribute to major mining and civil infrastructure projects in Québec, across Canada, and internationally.
This full-time role, designed for early-career professionals, is based in Québec City, Montréal, or Val-d'Or and offers a unique opportunity to combine field and office work in a stimulating technical environment.

Your Impact
  • Contribute to rock mechanics projects in open-pit and underground mining environments, as well as civil infrastructure
  • Support intermediate and senior engineers with geotechnical analyses, studies, and designs
  • Participate in rock mass characterization, stability studies, and design analyses
  • Support the design and installation of ground support systems and geotechnical instrumentation
  • Collect, process, and analyze geological and geotechnical data, including 3D visualization
  • Participate in site inspections, monitoring, and supervision of construction work
  • Contribute to the preparation of clear, well-structured technical reports
  • Alternate between office work and field work, including site rotations

The Skills That Set You Apart
  • University degree in geological engineering, civil engineering, or mining engineering
  • Valid driver's license
  • Strong interest in geotechnical engineering, geology, and rock mechanics
  • Interest in field work, data analysis, and numerical modeling
  • Availability to work variable schedules, including nights, weekends, and field rotations
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong attention to detail

Assets:
  • Graduate degree in rock mechanics
  • Experience in consulting engineering or the mining industry
  • Proficiency with software such as AutoCAD, MAP3D, Rocscience, Surpac
  • Knowledge of programming languages (Python, VB, or others)

Compensation

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $73,400 - $97,200
MB & ON: $67,000 - $92,200
NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $66,300 - $88,000
