The Opportunity

Your Impact Starts Here - Join our mining infrastructure field teams supporting major projects across Northern Québec, Côte-Nord, and Abitibi-Témiscamingue. In this role, you'll help ensure construction quality on heavy civil works while contributing to the long-term development of critical northern infrastructure.

Your Impact
  • Monitor civil engineering construction involving heavy equipment to support safe and compliant project delivery.
  • Conduct material quality control testing including soil, aggregate, and concrete sampling.
  • Perform in-situ density testing with a nuclear densimeter and fresh concrete testing.
  • Carry out laboratory analyses as needed, including sieve tests, Proctor tests, sedimentation tests, and moisture content.
  • Write daily progress reports that support documentation and decision-making.
  • Provide ongoing technical support to engineering teams on site.
  • Participate in construction planning and verify conformity of work with plans and specifications.
  • Promote WSP values and foster a strong health and safety culture on site.

The Skills That Set You Apart
  • A diploma in civil engineering (AEC, DEC, or equivalent).
  • 0 to 3 years of field or construction experience.
  • Willingness and mobility to work in remote regions on a 14-days-on / 14-days-off FIFO schedule.
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg / 50 lb.
  • Resourceful, autonomous, and comfortable working outdoors in variable weather.
  • Strong collaboration skills and interest in hands-on field work.
  • Proficiency in French (mandatory); English is an asset.
  • Possess a valid Québec driver's licence and ASP Construction Safety Card.

Compensation
  • AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $63,300 - $83,800
  • MB & ON: $52,500 - $76,200
  • NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $52,000 - $69,000
