Job Description

Our Economics & Policy practice provides economic studies, econometric modelling,researchand policy analysis for a range of public and private-sector clients. The practice focuses on four core areas: Socio-Economic Impact Assessment: Socio-economic impact analysis and economic cost benefit analysis are vital tools for understanding how industries, businesses, specificprojectsand public policy affect the economy. Economic strategy: Economic strategy engagements support clients in strategic decision-making by helping them understand economic and market scenarios. Policy assessments: In these types of engagements, we study certain government policies, regulation and legislation aiming to support our clients in evidence-based policy decisions. We also develop recommendations for changes that would balance the need tomaintainthe intent of policy makers while removing restrictions to investment. Quantitative analysis, modeling, and econometrics: Development of statistical models, quantitative analysis, and prospective modeling intended for decision-making processes, such as supply and demand models and case studies. The candidate mustdemonstratestrong skills in quantitative analysis.

Meaningful work you'll be part of
As a n Economics and Policy Manager (Bilingual FR/EN) , you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve business issues, deliver high quality client service and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Deliverables:
• Lead the execution of project deliverables, ensuring high ‑ quality economic analyses, modelling and clear evidence ‑ based insights

• Analyze economic information from diverse sources and synthesize findings into clear and concise client ‑ ready outputs

• Draft complex reports, including expert reports for judicial, regulatory or public ‑ policy bodies

• Participate in and lead client meetings, acting as a primary point of contact for information gathering and progress discussions

Coaching & Developing Junior Resources :
• Support the skill development, coaching, and growth of junior team members through regular feedback and effective delegation

• Review and elevate work prepared by junior resources, ensuring analytical rigor, strong economic reasoning and clear communication

• Support resource planning/management and help foster an inclusive, collaborative and high ‑ performing team culture

Business Development :
• Collaborate with partners and directors to identify, scope, budget and prepare proposals for new engagements, with a focus on the Quebec market

• Contribute to the development of new service offerings aligned with emerging economic, policy and market trends

• Participate in targeted business development initiatives, including thought leadership, networking and strategic opportunity development

Experiences and skills you'll use tosolve
• The successful candidate requires fluency in English, in addition to French asthey will be required to support or collaborate with English-speaking clients, colleagues and/or stakeholders during the course of their employment with PwC Canada

• Strong and proven experience in conducting economic analyses, econometric modelling and quantitative research in a consulting or related environment

• Master's degree in economics, with demonstrated ability to conduct rigorous economic, statistical and econometric assessments

• Strong technical skills, including Microsoft Excel, statistical software (e.g., R ) and visualization/infographic tools

• Experience synthesizing complex economic findings through clear, high ‑ quality writing and research

• Demonstrated ability to present and build credibility with senior stakeholders in meetings and presentations

• Strong client management, project planning, delegation and organizational skills, ensuring high ‑ quality delivery and team coordination

• Proven creative problem ‑ solving skills, developing tailored solutions to client needs in economic, policy and market contexts

• Deep interest in economics, macroeconomic trends, public policy and current affairs, contributing to evidence ‑ based insights

• Ability to use and leverage approved AI tools to responsibly enhance productivity and quality; critically review, fact-check, and cite AI-assisted outputs to ensure accuracy and avoid bias; and continuously upskill and share best practices with the team

• This role doesn't support completion of the Canadian CPA designation

The salary range for this position is $ 84,700 - $ 134,700 .The posted salary range represents the expected hiring range for PwC locations in major city centres. Given our national recruiting approach, ranges may vary for positions in other locations. At PwC Canada, base salary is determined by your skills, experience, qualifications and work location. In addition to base salary, eligible employees may have opportunities to participate in variable incentive pay programs which are designed to reward individual and firm-wide achievements.We are committed to offering competitive compensation and adhere to all relevant pay transparency legislation.
