A career in our Financial Transformation practice will provide the opportunity to work alongside CFOs, VP Finance and controllers to optimize their finance functions and improve their contribution to the business. We support our clients by analyzing needs, developing financial solutions, and offering guidance and support to help them optimize their financial performance, improve decision-making, and achieve their financial goals. In financial operations at PwC, you will specialize in improving the efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations within organizations. Your work will involve assessing financial processes, identifying areas for improvement, and designing and implementing solutions to streamline financial operations, enhance controls, and reduce costs. You will be responsible for providing guidance on financial systems implementation, process automation, and financial shared services.
Meaningful work you'll be part of
As a Director , you'll work as part of a tea m , helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. PwC Professional skills and responsibilities for this management level include but are not limited to:
• Work with PwC colleagues in other lines of services in support of client needs for Finance Transformation services across Canada
• Lead proposal development process in Finance Transformation opportunities while working alongside industry and market teams
• Lead the delivery of medium-to-large Finance Transformation engagements, including
• Finance technology enablement (ERP , AI or similar implementation)
• Financial process analysis, design and implementation
• Alternative delivery model analysis, design and implementation ( i.e. target operating models, such as shared services and outsourcing)
• Performance management optimization ( i.e. reporting and analytics, planning, budgeting & forecasting , etc.)
• Finance vendor and software selection
• Support the engagement partner in managing engagement risk and project economics
• Prepare, review and ensure engagement deliverables meet PwC and client quality expectations
• Perform role of coach and actively participate in staff recruitment and retention activities
• Support team to disrupt, improve and evolve ways of working when necessary
• Arrange and sponsor appropriate assignments and experiences to help people realize their potential and support their long-term aspirations
• Identify gaps in the market and spot opportunities to create value propositions
• Look for opportunities to scale efficiencies and new ways of working across multiple projects and environments . Influence and facilitate the creation of long-term relationships which add value to the firm
Experiences and skills you'll use to solve
• 7- 10 years+ of professional consulting experience in finance function and/or finance processes
• Finance T echnology : Experience with ERP 's and automation solutions (AI or others) . Deep expertise in delivering F inance transformation implementation initiatives and projects . Understanding of financial applications ( i.e. ERP General Ledger, AI, Consolidation and Business Intelligence systems , etc. )
• Finance P rocess : Working expertise or strong understanding in many, if not all, of the core Finance areas of:
• Order-to-Cash - order entry, customer credit, invoicing, accounts receivable, collections
• Procure-to-Pay - procurement, accounts payable, processing payments
• Record-to-Report - financial close, consolidation, financial reporting, Fixed Assets, Inventory, Payroll
• Performance Management - management reporting, planning, budgeting & forecasting, analytics & decision support
• Experience in process improvement or re-engineering initiatives and projects in the core back-office accounting areas (see above) in a consultant role.
• Finance strategy and O perating M odel s: Expertise with best-in-class finance operating model s and on how to design target operating models . Experience in developing a finance vision and strategy . Building a transformation roadmap and business case and deploying transformation initiatives
• Demonstrated project management skills
• Professional accounting designation (CPA) or MBA or related masters is an asset
• The successful candidate requires fluency in English, in addition to French as they will be required to support or collaborate with English-speaking clients, colleagues and/or stakeholders during the course of their employment with PwC Canada

The salary range for this position is $ 191, 200 - $ 241,200 .The posted salary range represents the expected hiring range forPwC locations in major city centres . Given our national recruiting approach, ranges may vary for positions in other locations. At PwC Canada, base salary is determined by your skills, experience, qualifications and work location.In addition to base salary, eligible employees may have opportunities to participate in variable incentive pay programs which are designed to reward individual and firm-wide achievements.We are committed to offering competitive compensation and adhere to all relevant pay transparency legislation.
