Join a collaborative and mission-driven environmental practice where your work supports healthy ecosystems, responsible development, and meaningful partnerships with communities. In this role, you'll contribute to ecological field programs, environmental assessments, and permitting that shape sustainable outcomes for projects across British Columbia and beyond.
Your Impact
• Conduct field programs supporting wildlife, vegetation, wetlands, soils, and ecological assessments.
• Prepare or support technical reports, permitting applications, environmental impact assessments, and related documentation.
• Participate in components of environmental impact assessments aligned with provincial and federal legislation.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop integrated and science-based environmental solutions.
• Contribute to permitting processes and mitigation planning for resource, infrastructure, and energy projects.
• Engage with Indigenous communities, land users, and stakeholders to support environmental stewardship.
• Analyze biological data to assess project effects and develop evidence-based recommendations.
• Champion safe work practices and promote health and safety in field and office environments.
The Skills That Set You Apart
• 1-3 years of applied experience in biology, ecology, or environmental science within B.C.'s regulatory framework.
• A diploma, undergraduate, or graduate degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Ecology, Ecological Restoration, or a related natural resource field.
• Registered (or eligible within six months) as an R.P.Bio or Biologist in Training (BIT) with the College of Applied Biology.
• Experience conducting field biology programs in northern or remote environments.
• Strong working knowledge of provincial and federal environmental legislation and permitting.
• Proficiency with ecological field methods and tools (e.g., habitat assessments, wildlife surveys, wetland classification, GPS/GIS-enabled data collection).
• Ability to work safely in rugged outdoor conditions and meet all fieldwork requirements.
• A mindset rooted in curiosity, environmental stewardship, and meaningful project impact.

Compensation
AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $60,100 - $79,600
MB & ON: $54,800 - $75,400
NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $54,200 - $72,000
