The Opportunity

WSP is currently seeking a Corporate Paralegal. Under the supervision of the Senior Paralegal, Corporate and Securities, the successful candidate for this position will be responsible for providing support primarily in corporate matters as well as in preparing WSP Global's Board of Directors and committees meetings. They will join a team of legal professionals within a knowledgeable and results-oriented legal team, working in a dynamic and stimulating work environment.

Your Impact

Corporate Matters
  • Collaborate with the legal team to ensure smooth service operations, including:
    • Managing a small number of portfolio companies owned and managed by WSP Global Inc.
    • Review, maintain and update minute books, with the support of local legal advisors as needed
    • Prepare resolutions, annual filings, and other standard documents
    • Ensure all corporate filings and compliance requirements are up to date
    • Maintaining legal organizational charts and the master list of all organizational changes within the company, achieved through constant communication with regional teams, document review, and regular audits
    • Preparing company documents required for submission to clients, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders.
  • In collaboration with the paralegal team, manage and maintain of the company's legal entity database (Diligent Entities)
  • Coordinating, along with other team members, corporate reorganizations and any other intercompany operations, and preparing necessary legal documents
  • Coordinating and providing various documents in response to internal and external auditors requests
  • Assist in preparing various documents for the legal department
  • Perform any related tasks

Board and Committees
  • Assisting in the preparation of virtual and in person Board and Committee meetings
    • Compile a list of deliverables for each meeting based on the agendas and communicate with each of the presenters
    • Follow up with presenters on the status of their deliverables and ensure that presentations have been reviewed by the appropriate individuals in advance of their distribution to the board members
    • Uploading the agendas and meetings materials in Diligent Boards and maintaining all information up to date in the resource center
    • Provide support for various administrative requests from board members
    • Perform any related tasks

  • Hold a college diploma (DEC) in Paralegal Technology.
  • Have three to five years of relevant experience as a paralegal.
  • Be bilingual: proficient in both spoken and written French and English.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical abilities.
  • Show initiative and autonomy.
  • Exhibit rigor, discipline, and attention to detail.
  • Display professional judgment and the ability to convey credibility.
  • Be capable of handling multiple tasks and managing priorities.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite (including Visio), with the ability and willingness to learn and become proficient in the digital tools used to support paralegal responsibilities.
  • Be a team player.
  • Be committed to creating a coordinating and supervisory role for various company-related matters.

Compensation

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YK: 85 100$ - 112 800$

MB & ON: 77 700$ - 107 000$

NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: 76 900$ - 102 100$
