The Opportunity:

The Total Rewards Leader - Global Programs will play a pivotal role in shaping and managing the company's global approach to total rewards across all our regions. Reporting directly to the Vice-President, Total Rewards, the successful incumbent will carry competitive analysis and make recommendations to ensure the alignment, and scalability of our compensation and benefits programs worldwide, and will also take charge of the management of certain global programs. The role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, global experience, and the ability to manage in a matrix organisation.

What you can expect to do here:

Global Benefits & Compensation Structure: Assess and document how Total Rewards is structured across all regions.
  • In collaboration with regional Total Rewards or HR representatives, as applicable, conduct global benefits comparison, detailing coverage and defining our current positioning against market standards.
  • List individual compensation plans by country, including components payable beyond salary (e.g., car allowance, allowances).
  • Prepare and maintain a comprehensive overview of pension coverage, social security programs, life insurance, ADD, STD/LTD, and other key benefits.
  • From these analyses, provide recommendations for global alignment, while taking into account local competitiveness or requirements.

Global Approach to Program Communication and Management
  • Ensure alignment of communication and program requirements, especially for 2026 and beyond.
  • Assess the adequacy of current support structures and identify opportunities for scaling Total Rewards programs
  • Identify process improvement opportunities, including automation with our HR ERP.

Vendor & Broker Management:
  • Compile and maintain a global list of brokers, specifying supported plans and associated costs.
  • Identify opportunities to consolidate vendors for benefits (Life, Insurance, other benefits) in each country, region or on a global scale.

Global Program Management:
  • As a key contributor to the Global Total Rewards group, take charge of the management, development and administration of one significant global program
  • For this program, act as the global point of contact for all total rewards or HR contributors globally, ensure the annual communication, development and administration of the program
  • Collaborate with the Tech & Insights team to ensure proper management of program in our HR ERP, and coordinate any metrics, as applicable

What you'll bring to WSP:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in global Total Rewards management, including compensation, benefits, and vendor oversight.
  • Strong analytical and project management skills with the ability to drive strategic initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Familiarity with international benefits, market benchmarking, and regulatory requirements.

Success Factors
  • Ability to think strategically and execute operationally across diverse geographies.
  • Demonstrated expertise in aligning programs and communications globally.
  • Capacity to build and maintain effective relationships with vendors, brokers, and internal stakeholders.

Compensation:
  • BC, AB, SK, NWT & NU: $147,500 - $195,400
  • MB & ON: $134,600 - $184,600
  • Atlantic Provinces & Québec: $133,200 - $176,900
