Job Description:
The Wealth National Office exists to enable, run and protect the Wealth Business to achieve their collective growth ambition. The team is responsible for championing legendary client and colleague experiences, driving efficiency and innovation at scale, enabling growth within Wealth's risk appetite, and providing thought leadership to Wealth's suite of businesses.
The Wealth Strategy, Business Architecture & Data team is responsible for enabling the future of Wealth by defining, owning and driving transformational change, as well as driving strategic business planning through the identification and framing of growth opportunities. This team acts as a thought-leadership body to provide forward-thinking, fact-based analysis, implementation-ready strategies and tactics that enable and strengthen Wealth's competitive advantage. Through strong partnerships with key stakeholders across the Bank, this team enables growth for Wealth, driving profitability, identifying competitive advantage, and actualizing sustained performance.
Reporting to the Vice President, Strategy & Business Architecture, TD Wealth, the Associate Vice President, Business Architecture is accountable for partnering across Strategy, PMAG, Technology, and Data to drive a cohesive operating model and align business architecture with strategic priorities. The position supports senior leaders in cross-business structural decisions and enables transformational change by integrating value streams, optimizing processes, and balancing long-term vision with execution.

Key Responsibilities

- Define and maintain end-to-end cross-business value streams across Wealth
- Own business capability maps, including reuse, simplification, and differentiation decisions
- Frame structural trade-offs across businesses (e.g., scale vs. autonomy, standardization vs. differentiation)
- Establish architectural guardrails to guide investment, design, and delivery decisions
- Translate strategic priorities into clear operating model and capability implications
- Ensure strong integration of AI and emerging technology into operating model, workflow, and workforce design
- Partner with Strategy to translate priorities into operating model implications
- Partner with PMAG to align architecture with portfolio sequencing and business cases
- Partner with Technology and Data on platform, data, and control implications
- Support senior business leaders in cross-business structural decisions
Qualifications & Experience
- Demonstrated leadership in business architecture or project delivery teams, with a proven track record of thriving in cross-functional environments and promoting collaboration.
- Extensive experience in developing and implementing AI strategies, including the creation of roadmaps and the identification of relevant use cases.
- Exceptional people management capabilities, with expertise in leading diverse teams through training, coaching, and ongoing performance management.
- Outstanding presentation, facilitation, interpersonal, and leadership skills, enabling effective engagement with senior management at all levels.
- Ability to conceptualize business operations in terms of value streams and operating models rather than isolated functions.
- Skilled at simplifying complex challenges into a few clear, actionable trade-offs.
- Experienced in identifying and addressing duplication and short-term optimization issues.
- Proven ability to lead through influence and sound structural judgment.
- Capable of balancing long-term design considerations with the practicalities of execution.
