Department Overview

TD's Translation Services department is a team of some 30 dedicated bilingual translation professionals whose goal is to ensure efficient and accurate translation support to all business areas across the organization.

Job Description

Under the Assistant Manager's supervision, the project coordinator ensures end-to-end tracking of translation projects, collaborates with internal clients to establish their translation needs, ensures quick, efficient and error-free processing of requests, works closely with team leaders to assign work in-house or to service providers, and offers excellent customer service.

  • Process all translation, update and approval requests made through the request management tool; assist clients in their profile creation.
  • Work with internal clients to establish their needs, manage their expectations, and inform them of SLA and costs (as applicable).
  • Assess each request, ensure all information has been provided, and assign projects to internal team or service providers according to workload, budgets and deadlines.
  • Act as resource for internal clients and team members with respect to project coordination, request processing, request management tool, and billing issues.
  • Execute process improvement projects; document and implement best practices.
  • Establish and develop solid relationships with assigned translation team's leader, business partners, service providers, and colleagues.
  • Coach internal team, service providers and internal partners on using the request management tool.
  • Complete other tasks as requested.


  • At least 2 years of project coordination/management experience in a structured translation environment
  • Work experience with an online translation request management tool
  • University degree or diploma in translation or related field, a definite asset
  • Demonstrated customer service skills
  • Works to create a sense of teamwork, openness and communication
  • Ability to work under pressure and with minimal supervision
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Analytical skills: problem resolution, process improvement, etc.
  • Computer skills with the MS Office suite and CAT tools
  • Proficiency in French and English (written and oral)
