What to consider before applying

•This role doesn't support completion of the Canadian CPA designation
•The Canada Acceleration Centre (CAC) services all Canadian time zones, therefore business hours will vary and overtime is required

Purpose-led work you'll be part of

As a Manager, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
•Develop new skills outside of comfort zone
•Act to resolve issues which prevent the team working effectively
•Coach others, recognise their strengths, and encourage them to take ownership of their personal development
•Analyse complex ideas or proposals and build a range of meaningful recommendations
•Use multiple sources of information including broader stakeholder views to develop solutions and recommendations
•Address sub-standard work or work that does not meet firm's/client's expectations
•Use data and insights to inform conclusions and support decision-making
•Develop a point of view on key global trends, and how they impact clients
•Manage a variety of viewpoints to build consensus and create positive outcomes for all parties
•Simplify complex messages, highlighting and summarising key points
•Uphold the firm's code of ethics and business conduct

Experiences and skills you'll use to solve

•Experience working in a tax role at a public accounting firm would be an asset
•Qualified Canadian CPA or equivalent reciprocal designation would be an asset
•Strong technical background and broad based tax compliance skills as a result prior tax compliance experience (T1 and T2 returns)
•Strong analytical capability, sound business sense and strong attention to detail that have earned you the reputation of providing excellence in client service experience
•Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple assignments in an organized manner
•Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
•Fluent in French and English would be an asset
•A demonstrated commitment to valuing differences, developing and coaching diverse teams, and ensuring diverse perspectives are heard
