The Wireless Network DevOps team is responsible for wireless RAN technology development, engineering, implementation and operations. More specifically, we lead the National RAN Design and Engineering teams for TELUS' 4G/5G Wireless networks, the RAN DevOps team responsible for RAN development, remote operations, optimization, tools development, best practices and Wi-Fi development, as well as Property Management, Capital Management, RAN Program Management and National Wireless Transport PMO teams.

Reporting to the Vice-President, Wireless Networks DevOps, the Senior Strategy Manager will help define the team's strategic direction, perform cost-benefit or revenue generation analysis, develop business cases, consult on and lead projects, prepare executive-level communications and prime various Business Enablement initiatives.

Here's how
    •Deliver complex analysis and work with large cross-functional teams on strategic projects related to technology introduction and deployment •Develop, lead and monitor business cases and various strategic initiatives •Provide insight and analysis to facilitate and support business decisions •Develop and maintain the VP Scorecard by working with the business unit's leadership team and other relevant resources, such as cross-functional SMEs •Contribute to the development of the annual planning exercise (Strat Check) •Act as prime for various Operations and Business Enablement initiatives: FTE / vacancy audit, Cost Efficiency Program (CEP), Corporate Risk Assessments etc •Develop the VP quarterly presentation to the team


Qualifications:

    •Strong communication skills, comfortable dealing with all levels of management, including senior executives •Strong interpersonal skills, diplomacy and the ability to remain calm under pressure while navigating complex organizational dynamics •Ability to operate and adapt in a demanding, fast-paced environment by managing flexible hours, multiple tasks, competing priorities, numerous stakeholders and tight deadlines •Sense of urgency and ability to drive issues to closure despite setbacks •Exceptional presentation skills with the ability to craft clear, concise, compelling content appropriate for the audience •Strong business and financial acumen with experience using financial modelling •Excellent proficiency using applications within Google and Microsoft suite •University degree, combination of computer science/engineering and finance programs preferred •Minimum 5 years of experience in strategy or management consulting environment •Broad knowledge of the telecommunications industry

Great-to-haves
    •Fluent in English and French •MBA is an asset •Program and/or Project Management certification
