The TD Equipment Finance (TDEF) group is a Centre of Excellence within TD Business Banking with a mandate of growth as we journey to become the number one equipment financing provider in Canada. We work closely with our customers and prospects to structure equipment financing transactions (leases and loans) as an alternative to conventional bank sources of financing.

Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Product Analyst to join our Pricing and Business Initiatives team with TD Equipment Finance!

A typical day would include providing pricing guidance and recommendations to our sales team to grow our business while achieving desired profitability targets and could involve working closely with the TD Treasury team to utilize forward rate products. You will be required to develop in-depth knowledge of internal pricing targets/guidelines, acquire a solid understanding of the various financial products offered by the business, closely monitor market developments that could impact our pricing strategy and identify emerging trends across the equipment financing industry. You will also be tasked with various reporting requirements which could include new originations volumes and profitability, financial market updates, pipeline forecasts and daily cost of funds updates.

We need a standout colleague who can quickly understand our business model and help propel the business strategy by leading special projects. These could include various pricing initiatives, operational optimization/simplification projects, framework reviews, and sales force effectiveness enhancements. You will offer advice, recommendations, and solutions to the Senior Product Manager and TDEF Unit Leader based on the work you do, consulting on projects across functional teams. Your strong ability to work reciprocally and form positive and productive relationships will be key to your success.

As a Senior Product Analyst, TDEF, you will:
  • Act as a subject matter expert, providing pricing insights and recommendations to the Sales team for your assigned regions to drive growth and profitability
  • Liaise with various partners to understand front-line trends, finding opportunities to improve pricing framework and strategy
  • Maintain awareness of competitive and industry practices to obtain market insights, assess gaps and support implementation of solutions
  • Work closely with TD Treasury on opportunities when required
  • Generate accurate reporting and analysis for new originations, profitability, sales activity and/or pipeline management to present to Sales Leaders and TDEF Unit Leader
  • Solve complex problems requiring analysis of multiple variables
  • Provide forecasting, modelling, and planning input to support the Senior Product Manager
  • Manage independent workstream within a broader project and keep others informed of status and progress
  • Participate fully as a member of the team, willingly assisting others and mentoring / training as appropriate to support team members and a positive work environment


Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Commerce or Business or Finance
  • Four (4) or more years relevant work experience (pricing, finance, data analytics)
  • Ability to pay high attention to details, perform quantitative & qualitative analysis to validate information or solve problems, and clearly synthesize action items
  • Skilled in research and analysis methods and reporting techniques for large data sets
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast paced, collaborative, team-driven environment
  • Comfort in dealing with ambiguous and continuously changing situations
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel & PowerPoint
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively (both verbally and in writing) across diverse audiences including senior leadership
  • Ability to work independently, follow instructions/direction, provide assistance and build relationships
  • Act as a brand ambassador for our business and TD Bank, both internally and externally
  • Bilingualism is an asset: French & English
