Reporting to the Development Manager, the candidate selected for the Lead Programmer Analyst position will take part in developing and maintaining TELUS Health solutions in the Pharmacy division.
In particular, you will help develop a platform called PharmaSpace which patients have used to renew more than 11 million prescriptions to date.Join our team!
You will be part of a large and dynamic development team made up of about twenty developers representing all levels of expertise. Within this large team, each developer is assigned to a self-organized SCRUM team. Work on the team is structured and highly motivating, with production deliverables every three weeks. Our SCRUM team structure facilitates and encourages knowledge sharing, expertise development, teamwork and engagement. The applications developed here are at the cutting edge of technology, and the company is actively transitioning toward cloud technologies. More specifically, you will be working on optimizing, developing and supporting a web/mobile application used for viewing pharmaceutical profiles and online renewal of patient prescriptions. This application facilitates pharmacists' work in managing patients' renewal requests, and allows patients to track their requests remotely.Here's how...
•In your role as Lead Programmer Analyst, your time and effort will be spent as follows:Qualifications:Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
•15% technology architecture and/or analysis
•5% learning and developing new skills
•Program the application at multiple levels (back end, database, reports, infrastructure, front end, etc.), including performance enhancements, adding functionality and repairs
•Complete complex and difficult missions
•Propose performance, stability and usability optimizations
•Contribute to system architecture by issuing recommendations about infrastructure and its design
•Participate in the development of test plans and strategies in collaboration with the quality assurance team
•Organize programming requirements, coordinate and perform unit tests and integration tests, including taking responsibility for conditions, data and expected results
•Work closely with the quality assurance team to increase and improve coverage of automated tests
•Work as part of a team in an Agile development environment (SCRUM)
•Guide (mentor) a development team to teach them good programming practice and ensure compliance with stated standards
•Participate in discussions, propose solutions and follow up on them, and act as an agent of change as part of your team's efforts toward continuous improvement
•Develop and maintain a relationship of trust with implementation, operations and architecture teams to establish yourself as a key player in improvements to our technological solution and business processes
•Provide 24/7 support for proper operation of our systems, on a rotating schedule with other team members (less than one call per month outside normal working hours)
•Ability to handle pressure and act quickly to deliver results

•Must Have: Required Professional Designation/Certification:
•Extensive experience in Microsoft .NET framework, C#
•Extensive experience in MS SQL Server and/or PostgreSQL (script creation, StoredProc, modelling)
•Nice to Have:
•Experience with Docker, RabbitMQ and .NET Core
•Familiarity with medical and pharmaceutical systems
•Bilingualism in French & English
•Bachelor degree in Computer Science Required Experience:
