The Senior Business Systems Analyst analyses complex business problems related to the enterprise application and provides technical expertise and reliable solutions in support of the business and to meet functional areas user requirements.
Supports all stages of the project life cycle from inception to completion.
Supports application of best industry practices and standards and develop innovative solutions to difficult problems.
Develops solutions by interpreting functional and design specifications. May be required to develop functional block diagrams and data/logic flow charts.
Assists with the creation of application design documents.
Applies the necessary tools and subsystems required to support applications development, test and reuse.
Performs applications design, programming, testing and integration into existing infrastructure, in order to deliver the required product.
Provides recommendations to team leader to improve cost effectiveness and efficiency in order to successfully deliver commitments.
Prepares comprehensive program-level and user operating procedures, ensuring ease of operations and maintainability of applications.
Interprets user requests and requirements and develop cost effective solution, which not only satisfy the immediate needs but are also proactive in proposing additional functionality which would be of future benefit.
Produces quality products that provide the customer/user with accurate and useful tools through interpretation and programming skills.
Provides the necessary foundation of business knowledge to propose recommendations for future direction of business applications.
Contributes to the execution of projects from a budget and schedule perspective.
Participates in software upgrades and application of patches as required.
Attends team and project status review meetings and provide accurate updates.
Ensures effective implementation and on-going operation of new and modified applications, by conducting the training of users in the detailed system operation.
Mentors other team members and provide assistance to developers from the same department and/or other departments.
Work Experience Requirements
Minimum 5 years of directly related experience
Knowledge of database concepts and relational database design
Strong communication, interpersonal, presentation and technical skills
Demonstrate experience and knowledge in programming and applications development related to functional and/or process areas
Bacc Computer Science, or equivalent
An in-depth knowledge of the following development technologies: .NET Framework (MVC, Web Forms. ASP.NET, LINQ, Entity Framework, ADO.NET, WCF, Web API, C#)
Strong experience in database design and development (Microsoft SQL Server)
Strong background in object oriented development techniques
TFS and IBM Cognos BI and Microsoft BI (SSRS, SSIS, SSAS) are a plus
