The successful candidate will become a member of the Business Systems Analyst (BSA) team within the Health Benefits Management unit, reporting to the Manager of Business Analysis in the Solution Development & Delivery team.Here's the impact you'll make and what we'll accomplish together
•Serve as the key conduit to business stakeholders for solution requirements and analysis, and to work with Solution Architects & Delivery team members to define and manage requirements
•Elicit, using appropriate strategies, business, functional and non-functional requirements in adherence to the standard methodology, provide business and application expertise
•Document and maintain business and systems requirements
•Present documented analysis to all impacted stakeholders including external clients
•Support and provide inputs to test strategies and planning
•Perform impact analysis on incoming service/support requests and assist with estimating work requests
•Participate in software design joint application design (JAD) sessions
•Author user documentation and support training Here's how
•Work with the end business users to analyze their business needs and identify the business requirements
•Work effectively with the development team to resolve the business need with an appropriate solution that will meet the business requirements
•Communicate requirements to various stakeholder groups

•Software requirements specification, functional, non-functional and transition, using appropriate BSA modeling techniques, including:
•Support the testing/quality processes
•Develop strong relationships with other component teams and business stakeholders
•Business solution presentations
•Fluent knowledge of English, both verbal and written
•Analytical thinking and applying BSA techniques to problem solving
•Requirements analysis and management
•Business process modelling
•Information Technology (IT) methodologies knowledge: Waterfall, Agile, software development life cycle (SDLC)
•Microsoft (MS) Office knowledge: Visio, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
•Personal organization skills to manage work effort in order to produce quality documentation in a productive and efficient manner
•Ability to clearly document concepts using business and technical terminology
•Communication skills to express concepts that are appropriate to the target audience
•Effective facilitation and negotiation skills
•Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
•Degree or diploma in Information Technology or equivalent work experience
•5+ years of business systems analysis experience in software development Great-to-haves
•Fluent knowledge of French, both verbal and written
•Health benefit management knowledge
•Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) and/or Certification of Capability in Business Analysis (CCBA) designation Who is TELUS?
