Partner Solutions is an exciting, entrepreneurial division responsible for managing relationships with and selling to the wholesale market. The Canadian Service Provider team focusses on the domestic carriers and resellers. We bring a collaborative approach to building and introducing new products and services to market for our customers.

Here's the impact you'll make and what we'll accomplish together

As a Senior Account Manager, your role is accountable for developing and managing the strategic account strategy for a set of key Wholesale accounts. This position is responsible for developing and driving the account strategy, building strategic alliances, and executive relationship management within TELUS' Wholesale customers.

Here's how
    •Initiate, develop & maintain relationship with key decision-makers at top ("C") level of client organizations •Develop account strategy for a group of key named national accounts, oversee the preparation of deal plans & lead large complex deals with internal & partner teams •Negotiate & enter into contractual agreements in accordance with TELUS' Policy and procedures •Analyze customer needs, drive opportunities for increasing revenue through a thorough understanding of customer business and market opportunities •Provide accurate, relevant and timely management information on the performance metrics (i.e. sales funnel) in order to facilitate effective territory planning and forecasting •Work with the Client to build their business plans in support of both the Client & TELUS strategic objectives


You're the missing piece of the puzzle
    •Post-secondary education or equivalent experience (sales experience blended with new business development) •A minimum of 5 years of successful sales experience in IT/Telecommunications industry •Telecommunication industry regulatory environment dynamics and competition law •Financial acumen •Proven record of solution selling and managing Executive level relationships •Consistent high performance against sales targets for complex solution selling arena •Evidence of selling and managing customer relationships •Demonstrated ability to develop business relationships across all levels of an organization including executive levels •Demonstrated ability to identify client business problems, assess risks and profitability, drive the development of a strong mutually beneficial account plan and define the appropriate internal resources (technical assistance, project management, alternate sales channel support) •Proven negotiator and leader •Focuses effort on proactive client relationships to align with TELUS' client strategic solution sets and solution family •Uses client prospective to drive the business agenda and uses client feedback as input to business plans in implementing product/service capabilities •Gains acceptance through a series of small agreements, building momentum and relationships toward desired strategy •Able to effectively represent TELUS when negotiating prices and legal aspects of contracts

    •Previous experience in wholesale •Technical knowledge in Data, IP and emerging voice solutions
