TELUS Health and Payment Solutions are currently seeking a project manager to join our team of Provider Solutions. As Project Manager III, you will be responsible for managing client implementations. Candidates must have a strong background in project management, creating project schedules and other planning documentation. The right candidates will need the personality to take control of a project, create direction where there isn't any and influence the project direction. Strong written and spoken language skills are a must and a background in clinical healthcare technologies and processes is an asset.Responsibilities:
•Ensures that the Project Team completes the projectQualifications:Required Knowledge:
•Develops the Project Plan with the team and manages the team's performance of project tasks
•Secures acceptance and approval of deliverables from the Project Sponsor and Stakeholders
•Responsible for communication, including status reporting, risk management, escalation of issues that cannot be resolved in the team, and, in general, making sure the project is delivered in budget, on schedule, and within scope
•Provides a summary document of all milestones and decisions undertaken throughout this process including dates
•Effectively communicates with internal teams and external stakeholders
•Must be the primary author of multiple Project plans Required Skills & Abilities:
•Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite
•Experience working in a Project Management Office (PMO) with cross-functional teams is a plus
•Skills and Functions within the scope of a Project Manager
•Exceptional written and verbal communication skills (in English and in French) Required Professional Designation/Certification:
•Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
•Knowledge of JIRA and Confluence is an asset
•Knowledge of the Agile method is an asset
•Ability to work independently and as part of a fast moving team
•Ability to work as a lead in programs with complex projects
•Possesses excellent organizational skills and is detail oriented
•Very strong customer service orientation
•Experience managing client expectations
•Ability to take initiative and drive projects forward
•A fast learner with exceptional follow-through
•A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in information systems, health sciences, business administration or equivalent experience or education is required Who is TELUS?
