A career in our Tax Compliance Services practice, within Tax services, will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients meet and manage their tax obligations across unique but ever changing tax specialties. You'll advise clients on their local and overseas tax affairs, while acting as a strategic consultant related to business analysis, managing indirect taxes, dispute resolution, and global enterprise tax solutions.
Our team helps our clients with compliance across all taxes, statutory accounting and complex tax reporting. You'll focus on bookkeeping and monthly reporting, drafting, auditing and filing of local statutory financial statements, and transaction processing.Responsibilities
As an Associate, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:Proactively assist the team in various aspects of the projectPrepare deliverablesContribute to the development of your own and team's technical acumenKeep up to date with local and national business and economic issuesEnsure you are adhering to compliance mattersWork on developing internal relationships and your PwC brandAs a Manager you will assist with:Estate, Trust and Shareholder planning for Canadian private business families Canadian tax planning strategies for Canadian privately-owned business, including trust, estate and CCPC compensation and distribution planningReview and prepare Canadian compliance (T1, T2 and T3 returns) for Canadian shareholders, including working on tax provisions, financial statements and writing memosCompilation of information relating to clients and preparation of client filesDocumentation, research and follow-up on client Tax issuesRequirements:CPA, CA, CGA, or CMA designation. Completion of In- Depth Tax program. Strong technical background and broad based tax compliance skills as a result of 3+ years of prior tax compliance experience in a professional services firmA proven leader that possesses exceptional interpersonal and communication skillsStrong analytical capability, sound business sense and strong attention to detail that have earned you the reputation of providing excellence in client service experienceAbility to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple assignments in an organized mannerAbility to manage, develop and mentor junior tax professionalsProficiency in using current technologies such as TaxPrep, particularly the Google Suite of applications
