Join our team

As a consultant pharmacist, you will be an integral member of the TELUS Health Pharmacy Services Team providing pharmacy and clinical expertise to group insurance clients and internal teams, in particular those based in Quebec. You will be responsible for evidence-based reviews of new drug submissions, and providing pharmaceutical and business strategy recommendations related to formulary management for TELUS Health clients. You will be reporting to the Manager of our Pharmacy Consulting team

    •Accelerate learning of the TELUS Health business and pharmacy benefits management industry •Participate in the TELUS Health Formulary Committee and formulary management reviews on new drugs •Assess new drug programs as well as maintain existing programs for both national and Quebec marketplaces •Support new product/program development from a clinical perspective •Resolve client and pharmacy provider issues in a timely manner •Product client communications/reports on drug related matters •Evaluate and process drug exception requests using clinical expertise •Represent the TELUS Health Pharmacy Services Team internally and externally in Québec


Qualifications:

You are the missing piece of the puzzle if you have:
    •Bachelor degree in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. required •Active pharmacy practice license must be maintained •3-5 years of pharmacy industry experience •Knowledge of pharmacy benefits management industry, managed care, health technology assessment •Experience with private payer stakeholders (insurers, third-party administrators, brokers, consultants), clinical programs, and claims processing •Direct Quebec pharmacy practice experience •Demonstrated awareness of the role of OPQ and AQPP is considered an asset
Required Skills & Abilities:
    •Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel. PowerPoint) •Excellent analytical and critical decision making skills •Outstanding presentation and writing skills •Bilingual in French and English
