Job Title: Bilingual Payment Analyst - WSP Canada Financial Shared Services
Job Summary:
WSP Canada, a leading engineering and professional services firm, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Bilingual Payment Analyst to join our Financial Shared Services team. As a Bilingual Payment Analyst at WSP Canada, you will play a critical role in analyzing and reconciling payment transactions, ensuring accuracy, and supporting our organization's financial operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work within a collaborative environment, contribute to process improvement initiatives, and help optimize payment processes across our organization.
Responsibilities:
Payment Processing and Analysis: Review, analyze, and process payment transactions, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established policies and procedures.
Payment Reconciliation: Conduct thorough reconciliation with payment files sent to the bank, identifying and resolving discrepancies as necessary.
Investigation and Issue Resolution: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, vendors, and customers to investigate and resolve payment discrepancies, including payment failures, missing payments, and disputes.
Compliance and Controls: Ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations, internal controls, and company policies related to payment processing and data security.
Recordkeeping and Documentation: Maintain accurate and organized payment records, supporting documentation, and audit trails in accordance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Stakeholder Communication: Communicate payment-related information effectively and professionally to internal stakeholders, ensuring a high level of customer service and satisfaction.
Qualifications:
College diploma in accounting or any related field
Proven experience working as a Payment Analyst or in a similar role, preferably within a financial shared services environment.
Fluency in both English and French (verbal and written) is a must.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
Some knowledge of payment processing principles, financial systems, and relevant software tools (e.g., ERP systems, Excel, bank platforms).
