What You Will Do

The primary responsibilities of the Network Specialist II include providing support for high problem resolution and initial configurations of customer-side SD-WAN technologies, security infrastructure monitoring, and performance of remote changes to various networking and convergence technologies. Supported technologies will include Nuage's Network-as-a-Service (NaaS), Cisco Meraki, and security infrastructure monitoring and troubleshooting (Virtual Firewalls/Palo Alto/Juniper/TippingPoint/Cisco ISE). This role is part of a second level 24x7 technical support team and includes working with customers, other TELUS technical support personnel and management systems to support problem resolution, configure endpoint solutions as per customer orders, and ensure timely and accurate changes to the systems, as required.
    •Support complex data network solutions for high profile dedicated client •Coach and mentor diverse 24x7 team •Complete NaaS/Meraki Macs/Projects •Receive and manage escalation calls from clients; proactive identification and resolution, provide real-time incident guidance •Prepare training documentation (self-produced and coached) •Resolve and document process gaps •24x7 on-call technical support; flexible scheduling occasionally required


Your ideal profile includes
    •High level understanding of SD-WAN technologies •High level understanding of standard and cloud-based security solutions •Bilingualism in English and French •Must be able to manage processes within a team directed environment •Ability to compromise, conflict resolution •Self-directed ongoing professional improvement •Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work under pressure

Professional Certification & Experience
    •CCNP preferred •CCNA Mandatory •Advanced Industry Certification in one or more supported technologies will be considered an asset •Minimum 3 years of technical experience
