As part of TELUS Health's Virtual Pharmacy team, you will lead the development of a national pharmacy compliance program by: developing and implementing content for compliance education and training related to the various federal and provincial governing bodies; developing policies and procedures related to these areas; and conducting and overseeing compliance audits serving as the in-house expert on pharmacy compliance issues.

You are the missing piece if you have a background in pharmacy and a passion for health care and with a proven track record of delivery and execution who is a self-starter who thrives on a rapidly changing environment.

Here's the impact you'll make and what we'll accomplish together
    •Develop compliance policies and procedures related to pharmacy operations and clinical care as set forth by the relevant regional regulatory bodies, to ensure compliance with these policies
    •Proactively monitors, analyzes, interprets, and communicates regulatory changes related to pharmacy
    •Lead and oversee efforts to respond to new or changing regulations, including but not limited to communicating regulations to leadership and affected departments, assembling and chairing work teams, and developing/providing education regarding regulatory requirements
    •Reduce organization risk by identifying risks related to pharmacy, by developing and managing an annual work plan to address those identified risks
    •Define compliance requirements as needed for the new business programs and technology
    •Create and deliver education related to pharmacy compliance
    •Lead and/or participate in projects related to the design, implementation, revision and maintenance of processes and systems that promote compliance related to pharmacy
    •Serve as internal expert and advisor in compliance matters related to pharmacy
    •Oversee and document external audits related to pharmacy nationally
    •Liaise with privacy and legal counterparts as required


You're the missing piece of the puzzle
    •Past experience in a compliance related role with a retail pharmacy, specialty pharmacy or Pharmacy Benefit Manager
    •Demonstrated knowledge of pharmacy regulations in one or more provinces in Canada
    •Ability to plan and implement large scale projects that affect multiple departments and functions
    •Strong planning, problem-solving and change management skills
    •Demonstrated leadership skills and abilities
    •Superior communication and presentation skills
    •Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy and ambiguity
    •Pharm D, Bachelor of Pharmacy or Registered Technician are a requirement
    •Law degree is an asset
    •Bilingualism is an asset
