  • Diriger le développement, la mise en œuvre et la maintenance des systèmes environnementaux du site (ISO 14000) et qualité de l'usine (ISO 9002).
  • Détermine les méthodes et procédures pour le département pour permettre une plus grande autonomie de ses employés.
  • Dirige le service technique pour les clients de la Cartonnerie.
  • Produit, dirige et control l'exécution des projets techniques pour l'amélioration des procédés ou paramètres techniques
  • Produit des recommandations pour l'optimisation de l'opération, maintenance, ingénierie, santé & sécurité et environnementale
  • Définie les cibles d'opération et procédure pour le control de la qualité
  • Évalue la qualité journalière et compare aux spécifications des clients.
  • Prépare les rapports périodiques pour les dirigeants de l'équipe
  • Prépare et participe dans l'élaboration des Budgets et TRG des différentes lignes de production
  • Préparer et respecter le budget du service et expliquer les écarts par les mesures correctives appropriées prises au besoin.
  • Approuver toutes les autorisations de projets d'immobilisations du site, les autorisations de projets de réparation et les projets de R&D.
  • Conseil les gérants de lignes de production sur ses activités et fait les suivis nécessaires
  • Dirige les différents laboratoires sur le site.
  • Recommander des activités et des opportunités au responsable R&D pour mieux répondre aux besoins des clients et nos objectifs d'innovation internes afin de coïncider avec les plans de marché à long terme de l'unité.
  • Assure une bonne continuité des opérations en étant sur appel à l'occasion.

EXIGENCES : vos qualifications
  • Formation: Baccalauréat en chimie/biochimie/environnement
  • Ingénieur de préférence
  • Expérience en pâte et Cartonnerie, expérience en pâte haute pureté es tun atout
  • Expérience : Au moins 8 à 12 ans d'expérience
  • Capacité à communiquer efficacement, tant oralement que par écrit

ROLE: How you contribute to RYAM
  • Manage technical aspects including quality control, process improvement, technical representation as well as protection of the environment with a view to optimizing site productivity and profitability. The site includes three production lines: High Purity Cellulose, High Yield Pulp and Paperboard.
  • Direct and develop department employees.
  • Manage the Quality Systems, EMS, FSC/PEFC, FDA Kosher and Halal to ensure mill compliance and registration.
  • Maintain quality control and cost control.

  • Direct the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Site Environmental (ISO 14000) and mill Quality (ISO 9002) Systems.
  • Approve all Site Capital Project Authorizations, Repair Project Authorizations and R&D projects. Keep up to date with new technology.
  • Determine work organization methods and practices for area, allowing direct reports maximum autonomy.
  • Manage the technical representation for end customer at Paperboard
  • Design, direct and control execution of technical projects related to improving processes or technical parameters of different aspects of mill operations.
  • Issue technical notices and recommendations to production, maintenance, Health & Safety, Environmental and engineering departments with a view to optimizing mill operation.
  • Define operating targets and procedures regarding quality control with Operations Management
  • Evaluate product quality on a daily basis and compare to customer specifications
  • Collect and produce periodic reports of systemic date for mill's management team.
  • Participate in the preparation of the Mill's Overall operating budget and set priorities for the different production lines.
  • Control department-related expenses periodically and implement mechanisms and information systems required to this end.
  • Advise production line manager on matters pertaining to area of activity and carry out any specific mandate assigned.
  • Manage the different laboratories on site
  • Recommend activities and opportunities to R&D Manager to best serve customer needs and our internal innovation goals to coincide with the unit long term market plans.
  • Ensures a good continuity of operations by being on call on occasion.

REQUIREMENTS: What you bring to our workplace
  • Education: University degree in Chemical/Biochemical/ Environmental
  • Engineering strongly preferred
  • Past experience in Pulping and Paperboard, experience with High Purity Pulp is an asset.
  • Experience: At least 8-12 years' experience
  • Requires ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
