The Purchasing and Inventory Management team is looking for a passionate and talented individual to lead a team which is focused on improving customer service and the performance of our business. The Manager, Purchasing and Inventory Management for TELUS Health will collaborate with stakeholders including Product Development, Marketing, Field Operations as well as the extended Supply Operations team to deliver TELUS Health products and services to our customers. You will be responsible for purchasing and planning inventory through TELUS partners and TELUS' tiered distribution network.

Lead:
    •Lead and develop a high performing and highly engaged team •Nurture the personal and career development of team members to ensure they are well positioned to be able to support the changing needs of TELUS and our customers

Transform:
    •Provide input to, and support the development of, the Purchasing and Inventory Management and Supply Operations strategy •Play an active Leadership role in the development and execution of initiatives that will transform operating practices across the company, focusing over the next 12 months on the purchase order process implementation for our network of clinics •Engage the team in continuous improvement to drive out inefficient work processes

    •Introduce best-in-class supply chain management techniques and practices with a focus on disciplined execution, consistently meeting or exceeding internal customer and external supply market expectations •Manage forecasting and planning activities for materials supporting all TELUS Health •Provide on-time availability of equipment to clinicsthrough effective ordering and vendor management techniques •Actively engage in and co-lead the collaborative forecasting and planning process •Collaborate with internal business partners in managing product life-cycle within the supply chain •Deliver continuous improvement across KPIs measuring the service, cost and quality of our supply chai


Qualifications:


You're the missing piece of the puzzle
    •A passion for customers and improving the customer experience •Excellent communication and presentation skills, ability to communicate complex concepts at all levels, from front line to senior management •Superior analytical, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills •Track record of improvements through team member involvement, process simplification and effective leadership •Strong understanding and experience of purchasing and inventory management systems, KPIs and key performance drivers and controls •Retail supply chain experience preferred •5+ years of equivalent, relevant experience, 5+ years in a Supply Chain role (latteral, external hire) •2+ years people leadership experience (external hire) •Post-secondary degree required •Bilingual (English & French)

Great-to-haves
    •Professional Supply Chain Management certifications (e.g. APICS CSCP, SCMA SCMP) preferred
