A career in our Forensic Consulting Generalist practice, within Fraud, Investigations and Regulatory Enforcement (FIRE) services, will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients understand where they might have vulnerabilities and develop solutions to manage the risks involved. We prevent, respond to and remediate a wide range of business threats, risks and complex issues.\n\nOur forensic specialists provide solutions and support for clients dealing with regulatory and crisis situations. As part of the team, you'll help provide support to our clients who wish to investigate potential financial crime, support clients responding to regulatory enquiries, deal with cybersecurity breaches and provide expert advice and opinions in legal proceedings. You'll also help clients review and remediate systems and controls to prevent further issues.
You will also participate in our dispute resolution services. You will assist in the preparation of expert reports produced in a wide variety of disputes. You will apply concepts of financial analysis and business valuation in order to quantify financial damages or to formulate conclusions on financial elements at the heart of disputes.

Finally, you will assist the experienced members of the team to prepare testimony in court or cross-examination of opposing experts.

Purpose-led work you'll be part of

As a Senior Associate in the Forensics and Dispute team, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Performing client pre-acceptance procedures including conflict checks, client investigation checks and drafting engagement letters;
• Coordinating with clients to obtain the necessary information to perform the agreed upon services;
• Prepare various detailed analysis including financial analysis, develop data analytics procedures/scripts when required;
• Preparing high quality investigative or damage quantification reports to be presented before the Courts;
• Preparing external working paper files with documentation of procedures performed and evidence obtained;
• Preparing and delivering internal and external presentations related to our services; and
• Attending and participating in project team meetings to discuss findings to date and brainstorm on additional areas to investigate and additional forensic services (i.e. computer forensics) that would be beneficial to the client.

Experiences and skills you'll use to solve

• Completion of one or more professional designations (CPA, CBV, MSc, CFE, CFF, CFA) preferred
• Proficiency in data analytics and visualization platforms such as Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau and Microsoft would be an asset
• Strong oral and written communication skills with experience in client-facing consulting/advisory work
• Experience in working as part of a project team in a support or lead role
• A high level of personal integrity and energy, a commitment to teamwork and a strong desire to learn
• Excellent professional judgment, intellectually curious and strong analytical skills
• A demonstrated commitment to valuing differences and working alongside diverse people and perspectives
• This position may require minimal travel at times within Canada and internationally.
