The Energy Efficiency and Program Optimization (EEPO) team provides solutions to drive the best possible investment decisions in Mission Critical Environments (MCE). The solutions we develop and implement help team members make data driven decisions delivering a safe, reliable and efficient environment for TELUS telecommunication services.

Here's the impact you'll make and what we'll accomplish together

As an Engineer II in the EEPO team, you will be responsible for the evolution and maintenance of our GOOSE (Great Outcomes Optimized Solutions Everyday) framework. Using agile development principles, you will interact with our stakeholders to document their requirements, prioritize the workload, and help deliver the solution. Through your interactions with our stakeholders, you will help drive continuous improvement of our internal processes adjusting our tools as required in support for those improvements.

Here's how

You will work with our development team to evolve the solution set used by MCE planners. In doing so, you will help the team review potential solutions, evaluate them and recommend the best fit in terms of features, costs and deployment cycles. As part of the team, you will collaborate in strategic decision making such as should we buy a solution as is from the open market, have an existing solution modified or build our own.


You're the missing piece of the puzzle
    •You hold a B.Sc. Eng. in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering •Experience in solution development using SQL/Python/Java, C# •Familiarity with Agile and Lean six sigma principles •Recognized for your strong analytical abilities •A self-starter who has demonstrated in the past that you are able to identify process challenges and develop solutions that can help the team perform better •Ability to work well in a virtual work environment
    •Familiarity with Mission Critical Environments •Project Management experience •Engineering license in one of the Canadian Provinces or territories •Bilingual (English/French) to support our team nationally
