Here's the impact you'll make and what we'll accompish together

Using your knowledge of wireless communications and your experience with radio frequency systems design, and traffic engineering, you will participate in the design and optimization of TELUS' indoor Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS).

Here's how
    •Design and optimisation of Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) using passive, active, as well as Pico cell/Small cells and multi-operator systems •Analyze existing indoor coverage from macro network using industry standard tools in order to identify the needed coverage enhancements •Deliver quality indoor radio frequency (RF) design by selecting optimum solution considering technology, building layout and affect to macro network •Calculate link budget and uplink noise •Produce quality technical documents •Work closely with the RF Field Analysts, RF Performance Engineers and RF Macro Design Engineers to achieve the network performance objectives •Manage cross-functional and often inter-regional projects for the RF Engineering team


Qualifications:


You're the missing piece of the puzzle
    •Bachelor in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in telecommunications preferred •5 years of experience in indoor RF Design and Optimization; should include strong experience with site acquisition policies •5 years of experience with iBWave in-building planning tool and iBWave certification •Excellent understanding of RF behaviour, propagation loss, link budget, uplink noise calculation and the current mobile radio technologies (UMTS, LTE, 5G) •Scripting and programming knowledge for process automation •Working proficiency with Spectrum Analyzer & other industry standard tools •Excellent interpersonal communication skills; ability to work efficiently in a team •Strong leadership and project management skills; ability to drive engineering projects autonomously •English written and spoken communication skills (English & French for Quebec positions)
