A career in Deals Valuation, will provide you with the opportunity to help organisations unlock greater value from existing assets and ongoing capital expenditures as well as new acquisitions, investments, and complex corporate arrangements. We focus on a series of services, such as acquisition and disposal valuation advice including deal pricing and negotiation support, strategic value consulting for improvement of corporate and capital management decisions, financial modelling and value analysis. In short, upon being a member of our team, you will support clients to make profound strategic decisions, better conduct business transactions and decisions, appropriately allocate capital investment, and satisfy regulatory requirements with professional skills and in-depth industry knowledge.

As a Senior Manager with the Valuations group, your contribution will involve leading business development efforts across the Deals practice working with other Deals team members as well as overseeing valuation mandates. You will utilize your experience of financial, business valuation and accounting experience in combination with your professional accounting and valuation designations to further develop and grow the practice. Provide independent, expert valuation reports for a variety of purposes including mergers and acquisitions (M&A), financial reporting, taxation, corporate planning (decision support) and corporate governance. Deliver in-depth understanding of the value of each entity or asset involved in their transaction, along with relevant technical and industry knowledge, and a true knowledge of the specific factors driving each individual transaction. Review valuation reports prepared by external appraisers for financial reporting purposes on behalf of PwC's audit clients. Help boards, management and special committees arrive at informed decisions, by providing independent, credible perspectives as to whether a proposed transaction is fair, demonstrating you have weighed advice from credible, independent and objective sources Establish credibility with existing clients by demonstrating subject matter expertise and knowledge. Contribute to pursuit teams and proposal development including innovative approaches and methodologies tailored to address specific client requirements. Lead Valuations teams, coaching and supporting team development and sharing technical knowledge across the national and global PwC network. Uphold the firm's code of ethics and business conduct.
Requirements: Completed undergraduate degree with outstanding academic credentials An interest in upskilling for a digital world and technology trends, an openness to learning new tools and adapting how you work. Must be bilingual in French and English A completed Accounting and/or Chartered Business Valuation (CBV) / Chartered FInancial Analyst (CFA) Designation or a completed MBA Minimum of 5+ years progressive experience in accounting, financial and business valuation Significant experience in valuation engagements Strong technical skills as well as report writing skills Experienced at preparing and/or coordinating complex written and verbal materials Strong commitment to identifying and addressing client needs and building, maintaining, and utilizing client networks and community involvement Proven ability to manage team members, project workflows and deliver on time Proactive, takes ownership of tasks and assignments, accepts responsibility for outcomes This role does not support completion of the Canadian CPA designation.
