As a Manager - Security Architect, you will join our growing Cyber Resilience practice to meet our clients' demand for high quality, independent advice and delivery capability focusing on security architecture. We are looking for dynamic personalities with a passion for Security Architecture who understands what it means to be change agents in transforming businesses.

The primary responsibilities are to:Establish credibility and relationships with prospective clients by demonstrating technical and industry knowledge in security architecture and identify opportunities for assistance.Lead or assist in business development activities including sales, proposals, and building and maintaining sustainable client relationships.Manage the end to end delivery (including project economics) of multiple security architecture projects comprising of multiple resources and teams and ensure the quality of deliverables and clients are satisfied with the work.Work with security vendors to understand their solution offerings and advise clients on appropriate technologies.Assist with the staff and operational management of the Security Architecture practice, including:Acting as a technical reference point for security architecture.Mentoring and developing junior staff as required including supplying formal evaluation and feedback.Provide thought leadership and direction for the Security Architecture practice and contribute to the Intellectual Property of the firm by driving the development of toolkits, methodologies, accelerators and training.Maintain a credential set that establishes technical expertise.Help recruit, retain and develop the team by bringing superior leadership skills.
This position may require some travel and will be based out of our Toronto Office. Other locations in Canada may be available.
Demonstrable ability in the following areas is required for this position:An interest in upskilling for a digital world and technology trends, an openness to learning new tools and adapting how you work.A minimum of 8 years in information and cyber security in roles such as:
− Developing and implementing enterprise security strategy.
− Developing security architecture and/or enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g. E2AF DoDAF, SABSA, TOGAF, Zachman) and supporting processes/workflow.
− Development of security solution requirement and strategic roadmaps.
− Selecting, designing and implementing security solutions through to operation, ideally in multi-supplier/multi-platform environments.
− Developing high level and detailed budgets and resourcing plan for implementation of security solutions.
− Developing communications and change management plan in support of large scale security implementations.
− Delivering security architectures as part of a broader enterprise or IS/IT architecture.
− Interpreting and applying appropriate standards, policies, regulatory requirements and threat/risk assessment in the definition of security architectures.
− Hands-on configuration, customization and/or operation of security solutions (e.g. DDOS, IAM, DLP, SIEM, Security Analytics, Forensics, Advanced Malware Protection, Directory Services, IPS/IDS, WAF, Next-Generation Firewalls).Bachelor or Masters degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Engineering or Business.Technical designations such as CISSP, CISA, CRISC, CEH, CGEIT, ITIL, PCI QSA, CIPP/C, TOGAF, SABSA or CISM.Solid mix of business and technical capabilities, and the ability to communicate complex technical and risk management issues to senior executives within the context of their business.Ability to develop and manage senior-level relationships, identify security architecture opportunities with clients and propose solutions that meet the clients' needs.Strong project management, facilitation and delivery skills.The ability to manage engagement financials and risk.The ability to manage a number of concurrent and complex security architecture projects, meet deadlines and manage stakeholder expectations.Strong leadership qualities when working in a team and the ability to be recognized as the subject matter expert in a given field when our client requires.The ability to be seen as a role model for junior members of the team and provide guidance and coaching to the team.Clear, articulate and confident written and verbal communication skills, including client reports and presentations, papers and articles.Demonstrable presentation skills, including the ability to speak in public.Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities.Prior Big 4 or leading system integrator experience is a plus.Open to travel requirements.Why you'll love working for PwC
