As the fully-bilingual Communications Manager, Public Relations, you will proactively position corporate initiatives in the vast, complex and ever-changing media environment. Using a holistic approach to communications, you possess the ability to leverage traditional and social media, sponsored channels and influencers to differentiate TELUS' brand in the Quebec market. Leveraging a creative approach to proactive media campaigns, you demonstrate success in both strategy development and end-to-end tactical execution.

Here's how
    •Manage proactive media campaigns, end-to-end, in order to increase TELUS' brand awareness within Quebec by leveraging earned and paid media channels, social media and influencers •Adapt and customize national campaigns such as device launches, community investment initiatives, major sponsorships and corporate initiatives to the specific characteristics of the Quebec market •Execute best practice project management in the context of cross-functional teams including external agencies, this will require both a keen attention to detail and a clear understanding of the big picture, proactive and effective communications across multiple teams, and adept management of often-conflicting interests •Write compelling copy, clear and concise media and communications plans, engaging press releases and messaging that effectively tell TELUS' story to a diverse external audience •Provide communications counsel and support to executives and subject matter experts as required •Collaborate closely and on a day-to-day basis with other communications, operational and support teams across TELUS


Qualifications:


You're the missing piece of the puzzle
    •A proven ability to collaborate with and influence diverse cross-functional teams - to effectively represent the Public Relations Team at the table •Project management expertise, with the ability to effectively engage diverse & remote teams and to maintain a view of both the overall picture and the important details •Highly adaptable to rapidly-changing situations and an ability to prioritize in the heat of the moment •Expertise in communicating technical and complex issues in a clear and concise manner •An up-to-date and evolving understanding of the changing nature of Quebec and Canada's media landscape and the ability to translate that understanding into best practices •Ability to see the big picture and anticipate emerging issues and trends, and then tailor communications strategies and tactics to address them •Excellent writing skills and proven success with press releases, strategic plans, reports, and more •Proven expertise in developing sponsored content and strategically sourcing and working with influencers •A vast network of connections and well-established relationships among Quebec-based media •and influencers •Bilingualism - fluent in both English and French •An undergraduate degree in marketing or journalism or equivalent post-secondary education •3-5 years of corporate communications experience in a large complex corporate environment •Experience with campaigns set in a B2C and B2B environment •Agency and media experience
