A career in Firm Strategy and Communications, within Internal Firm Services, will provide you with the opportunity to establish effective communication programmes that enhance PwC's vision, strategy, values, and purpose. You'll focus on designing communication initiatives that aid in implementing new policies and programmes and that will enhance the organisation's relations with the community, public, government, shareholders, and employees.
Our Internal Communications team creates and implements the most effective communication strategies and tactics that drives PwC's strategy and aligns its vision and purpose. As part of the team, you'll create high quality and high impact communications that engage our partners and people and enhance the PwC's culture and brand. Please note this is a 14 months full-time contract opportunity. What You'll Create and Do
Leading Greater Montréal corporate communications (70%)Provide communications advice and coaching to the Quebec Leadership Team on best ways to communicate to enable the business priorities (develop messages, advise on delivery, appropriate channels and tactics).Develop communications plans and tactics for certain strategic local initiatives or market-facing marketing campaigns in collaboration with the marketing team (e.g. developing key messages for partners and staff, producing internal digital ads, supporting video production, and liaising with partners to coordinate content creation and approvals).Prepare and execute innovative and impactful communications tactics and activities for delivery across multiple internal and external audiences, via appropriate digital channels and platforms (e.g. town halls, newsletter, intranet, videos, internal staff and client announcements, conferences, speech writing, presentations, corporate responsibility initiatives).Lead the execution of the Greater Montréal bi-weekly internal newsletter, in collaboration with other city communications team members.Work closely with the national communications team members, public relations manager and marketing team members to roll out integrated plans and initiatives supporting our firm priorities.Work with a range of firm leadership across the business to proactively address communications matters, ensuring alignment of communication messaging and implementationResearch and share best communications practices from outside the firm.
Firmwide communications support (30%)Provide communications counsel to other Canadian Leadership Team membersLead corporate communications initiatives, strategic communications plans and tactical execution and guidance on messaging to enable the PwC Canada strategy, in support of the national communications teamSupport the national communications team for firm-wide communications that are issued in French (proofreading, ensuring quality, providing advice on what and when tactics need to be translated, etc.)Support planning and execution of firmwide virtual town halls across the country.What You'll Bring to This Role
An interest in upskilling for a digital world and technology trends, an openness to learning new tools and adapting how you work.
7+ years of corporate communications experience, preferably in a corporate communications and/or marketing group. Preference will be given to those with experience in a professional services environment.
An undergraduate degree in communications, public relations, marketing or a post-graduate specialization Extensive knowledge of communication industry best practices - active membership in IABC / CPRA would be an assetExceptional written skills in French and English to develop internal and external communication materialsDemonstrated success working with senior leadership, developing relationships, addressing their needs and providing communications counselExceptional knowledge of communication tools, templates and technology; familiarity and comfort with social mediaDetail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills to deliver on competing project deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Experience project managing internal events of varying complexity, including virtual events.Previous achievement in understanding the needs and sensitivities of different audiences and adapting appropriate writing style and contentProven ability to deal with confidential and sensitive informationKnowledge and understanding of business issues; particularly of economic trends, Canadian and Quebec markets and global megatrends an asset.Why you'll love working for PwC:
