The EQ Care team is looking for a CloudOps Engineer to help us continue to deliver amazing digital health solutions to our users. We're looking for an eager individual with strong leadership and teamwork skills who can excel in a challenging and ambiguous start-up environment, and who is self-motivated and can maintain a positive and professional attitude. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a results-oriented mindset. Here's How
•Working with R&D team to architect and build continuous integration and delivery model for Cloud native microservice applications in agile mode
•Selecting the appropriate Cloud services based on compute, data, or security requirements
•Design and implement monitoring, data collection and configuration management and infrastructure automation, with a strong focus on microservice architecture, security, reliability in a cloud-native environment
•Respond to alerts and investigate issues in a live production environment
•Carry out disaster recovery planning, capacity engineering and reliability improvement initiatives and platform automation.
•Provide performance tuning/recommendations for components and services
•Collaborate with team members to improve the company's engineering tools, systems, procedures and information security
•Conduct systems tests for security, performance, scalability and availability
•Develop and maintain design, troubleshooting and operations documentation
•Identify and address security threats and vulnerabilities
•Define and implement CloudOps reports and dashboards Qualifications:Required Professional Designation/Certification:
•Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field Required Experience/Skillset:
•3+ years' experience as a CloudOps/Cloud developer or equivalent software-engineering role
•Strong expertise in software development methodologies
•Expertise with AWS services and tools (Cloudformation, AWS CDK, AWS IAM, etc.)
•Experience with serverless and microservice architectures in the cloud (REST API, OpenAPI/Swagger, etc)
•Expertise with cloud native CI/CD tools and processes.
•Deep understanding of security in cloud environments
•Proficiency with Linux systems, shell scripting and the Unix toolbelt
•Understanding of the various networking components/protocols of the web: HTTP, HTTPS, DNS, TLS certificates, load balancers, etc
•Experience with Docker and container management systems like ECS, Kubernetes
•Experience in network, server, and application monitoring (Datadog, Cloudwatch, X-Ray, etc)
•Ability to work with technical and non-technical team members and communicate technical concepts in a clear and concise manner
•Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to analyze, research and review complex data to propose solutions
•Willingness to work during non-business hours, weekends and holidays as required to support 24/7/365 cloud operations Who is TELUS?
