The Large Complex Deals Security Services team (LCD-HSS) primes the support and management of internal TELUS security and compliance programs for large and strategic clients and for internal corporate programs. Working closely with our clients, we make sense of and meet the security requirements documented in their contracts by upholding TELUS terms of service to provide exceptional guidance and support.Here's the impact you'll make and what we'll accomplish together
As a Senior Security Consultant, you will support key Large Complex Deal (LCD) portfolios by becoming the face of TELUS to our clients. You will leverage your subject matter expertise in the field of cybersecurity to support internal contractual TELUS security compliance programs; answering questions, defining process and managing security requirements. Maintaining our reputation of exceeding customer expectations, you will apply your exceptional understanding of industry standards into your assessment and recommendations.Here's how
•With your Experience in Security Governance and Compliance Field, you will: Qualifications:You're the missing piece of the puzzle
•Develop, and manage security compliance program elements and related activities towards demonstrating and managing adherence against set standards
•Act as an independent review and evaluation body to ensure that security compliance issues and concerns are being appropriately evaluated, investigated and resolved

•Prioritize in a fast-paced; deadline driven environment and adapt to changing priority schedules
•Monitor and coordinate compliance activities and identify trends
•Monitor the performance of compliance programs and take appropriate steps to improve effectiveness
•Provide responses to ongoing client audit requirements, maintain security and privacy governance plans, and develop new security management & risk assessment deliverables
•As a Proactive Problem Solver, you will:
•Identify potential areas of vulnerability and risk; develop/implement corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues, and provide general guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in the future
•As a Trusted Security Partner, you will:
•Be a collaborative partner who can motivate and influence a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders
•Work in a matrix organization to support and manage stakeholders across the grid - using strong communication and negotiation skills
•Respected for your 7-10+ years of experience in design, implementation and management of security compliance programs
•Valued for your extensive experience interfacing with clients and building client relationships
•Regarded for your exceptional communication and presentation skills
•Skilled in governance, risk management, incident response, security analysis and vulnerability management including security methodologies, standards, and best practices such as NIST, ISO 27001, NERC, and PCI
•Talented in conducting or supporting IT Audits, TRA and Security assessment methodologies, practices and frameworks
•Familiarity with Vendor Management and 3rd party Service Compliance, Security and Risk management practices
•Knowledge of Privacy Management practices and regulatory regimes
•Understanding security relative to modern Enterprise datacenter, computing, networking, cloud and telecommunications technologies
•Familiarity with multi-vendor security environments such as: Great-to-haves
•SIEM tools (ArcSight, RSA Envision)
•Firewalls (Cisco, Juniper and Palo Alto)
•IDS/P technologies (Tippingpoint, Juniper, McAfee etc)
•IPSec and SSL VPN's (Juniper, Cisco)
•Remote Authentication (RSA SecurID, CryptoCard)
•With University degree in a relevant security field
•With accreditations in areas related to Security, Audit and Compliance domains, such as CISA, CISSP, and CISM
•With a Government of Canada security clearance (Secret), or the ability to obtain specified clearance
•Bilingual; able to communication in both English and French at an advance level
•Experience working with or willingness to learn about new and emerging technologies, such as Virtualization, Shared Governance and Security models in various SaaS (PaaS, SaaS, etc.) environments, Big Data Management, Data Analytics and Visualization (e.g. Tableau)
•Experience in business analysis (BA) roles developing and/or assessing business processes
•Experience in Project Management methodologies/certification
•Experience with various Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP etc.) Who is TELUS?
