Some of what you will do

As the regional HR coordinator, you will create effective working relationships with internal employees and business partners and must work well with many different levels of management. You will provide talent development support through participation in recruitment and training efforts for the region, in addition to administrative support to the HR function as needed, including record-keeping, monitoring, reporting and coordinating for the different HR programs. With your mediation, conflict-management, problem-solving skills and leadership, and partnerships with a variety of stakeholders, each day will be fast-paced, challenging, rewarding and meaningful.

Specifically, you will:

    •Maintain and communicate training calendar that meets the needs of the region. Schedule and coordinate all training.
    •Monitor training completion rates for First Aid, Forklift and other technical training as required and communicate reminders to the field as needed
    •Coordinate position specific training for promoted and newly hired managers, including travel if required
    •Conduct follow up with Designate managers and trainers during initial training period as well as at specific intervals post training to ensure consistency and quality and continuation of development in role during the first 90 days
    •Monitor and track participation in leadership development programs and mentoring programs in the region. Orient new participants and mentors to the programs, and complete program paperwork as required
    •Complete and/or facilitate documentation for manager and supervisor changes, including internal offer letters, salary changes, benefit and position changes
    •Monitor and track the annual regional HR travel and training budgets
    •Generate the weekly shuffle chart and update as required in a timely manner
    •Support regional recruitment efforts by conducting interviews and attending internal/external hiring events. Partner with Talent Acquisition Specialist and HRBPs to support stores level recruitment needs

Some of what you need

    •1 to 2 years of Human Resources experience preferred.
    •Previous experience in Retail/Retail Management an asset.
    •Previous experience in recruitment an asset.
    •Post Secondary education preferred, preferably in Human Resources or Retail Management
    •Human Resources designation an asset
    •Bilingual (English/French): Read, Write, and speak in both French & English
    •Microsoft Office - Word, Excel and PowerPoint
    •Creating and Maintaining Databases
    •Able to balance multiple priorities and demands
    •Manages relationships in a confidential and a effective manner
