Meaningful work you'll be a part of

As a Assurance Manager, you'll be part of a team that helps deliver high quality, client service excellence and operational efficiency:

• Provide related deliverables in accordance with PwC templates
• Proactively participate in the management of staff workload, balancing work across the team and quality control of work products
• Oversee team members' performance of testing, monitoring workload, timelines and budgets for the work being performed
• Reviewing work of the team to ensure that all work is completed and documented in accordance with our prescribed standards
• Interact with engagement teams and clients to articulate the objectives and testing results
• Develop the skills of team members through regular and ongoing formal coaching and feedback (written and verbal), keeping them engaged with a cohesive team environment
• Assist with special projects as required
• Contribute towards developing new capabilities and new services to grow the business
• Support growth efforts through drafting responses to client service requests and providing inputs to service proposals from a global service delivery perspective

Experiences and skills you'll use to solve
• Post-Secondary degree in accounting or finance required
• CPA equivalent and/or Master's Degree
• 5+ years of work experience with accounting or auditing experience
• Knowledge of Canadian GAAP and IFRS
• Understanding of Canadian or International audit standards
• Communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills that allow you to thrive in a team environment
• Commitment to providing excellent client service, with an ability to lead a large team of 12-16 Technicians and Supervisors.
• Well-developed leadership, organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail with the ability to participate , communicate and apply knowledge to deliver quality results
• The successful candidate requires fluency in English, in addition to French as they will be required to support or collaborate with English-speaking clients, colleagues and/or stakeholders during the course of their employment with PwC Canada
• A demonstrated commitment to valuing differences and working alongside and/or coaching diverse people and perspectives
• Demonstrated self-motivation and a desire to take responsibility for personal growth and development
• Understand personal and team roles; contribute to a positive working environment by building solid relationships with team members; proactively seek guidance, clarification and feedback
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite of products (i.e., Word, Excel, Powerpoint , Visio, etc.) including an understanding of v-lookup, text, reference and logical information functionality in Excel
• This role doesn't support completion of the Canadian CPA designation
• The Canada Acceleration Centre (CAC) services all Canadian time zones, therefore business hours will vary and overtime is required
